Chapter 2Membership & CYV Levels
CYV Tiers (Verified, Silver, Gold, Creator, Prime)
Tier badges appear on your profile and avatar, based on your CYV balance and your number of positive posts.
Tier order: Verified → Silver → Gold → Creator → Prime.
Verified: balance ≥3,000 CYV
Silver: balance ≥8,000 CYV
Gold: balance ≥15,000 CYV
Creator: balance ≥25,000 CYV + at least 100 positive posts
Prime: balance ≥50,000 CYV + at least 300 positive posts
These thresholds adjust automatically over time so they stay fair to reach in any era.
Once a tier is reached, its badge is NEVER lost even if your balance drops from spending in the Market/NFT — just keep your balance above the minimum (far lower than the threshold to rise a tier) so the badge stays lit. If it dips below the minimum, there is a 7-day grace period before the badge temporarily dims, and it lights up again automatically once your balance is topped up. While dimmed, Profile shows how much more CYV is needed to reactivate it.
CYV you have already received is never taken back.
Level Ladder 1–25 & the Avatar Ring
Besides the five tiers above, sosmedplus has a finer level ladder: each tier is split into 5 named steps, 25 levels in total. Your level shows in two places: the progress ring around your avatar (with the level number on its badge, also in lists, comments and other people's profiles), and the level text on the Profile page, for example "Level 7 · step name".
Step names per tier
- Verified: First Voice → First Echo → Daily Rhythm → Known Presence → Verified Threshold
- Silver: Steady Beat → Open Circle → Long Breath → Firm Ground → Silver Threshold
- Gold: First Shine → Steady Stream → Deep Roots → Landmark → Gold Threshold
- Creator: First Stroke → Steady Hand → Signature Style → Own Gallery → Creator Threshold
- Prime: Rising Light → Reference Point → Momentum → Compass → Prime Threshold
On the Profile page you see the next step and how much more CYV (and how many positive posts, for Creator and Prime) is still needed. Once the last step is reached, "Level maksimal tercapai!" (Maximum level reached!) appears.
Difference from the tier badge: the tier badge is permanent (see above), while the level and ring are calculated from your current CYV balance — so they can drop if you spend your balance, and rise again as it is topped up. The threshold of each step also adjusts over time. Levels are only a progress display; they never reduce or take back CYV you have already received.
sosmedplus Membership
Available on Android
sosmedplus Membership is an optional subscription you can activate any time from Profile.
Benefits
- An exclusive "Member" badge on your profile
- A higher CYV balance ceiling — non-members have a cap on how much balance they can accumulate, members do not
How to subscribe
- Open the Profile tab
- On the card "Kamu belum jadi Member sosmedplus" (You are not a member yet), tap "Jadi Anggota" (Become a member)
- Complete the payment through Google Play
Once active, that card turns into the "Member" badge. Want to switch plans (monthly to yearly) or renew early? Tap "Kelola Langganan" (Manage subscription) on Profile — it opens the official Google Play page where you can manage your subscription any time.
Chapter 3Home
Main View & Follow/Xplor Mode
At the top of the Home screen is a floating glass bar with three elements: the menu icon (three lines — opens the drawer and shows a red badge when there are new notifications), the Follow / Xplor switch, and your profile photo on the right. Your photo is surrounded by a level-progress ring with the level number on its badge (see the Membership & CYV Level chapter).
Follow: shows posts from the accounts you follow, plus official admin announcements captioned "Penting" (Important).
Xplor: shows posts from many other users (discovery mode) — here every post by someone else also shows a short Follow button so you can follow them without opening their profile first.
Steps
- Tap Follow or Xplor to switch mode.
- Tap the profile photo at the top right to open your own profile.
Radio & Music (Tape Deck)
At the very top of the feed is a floating radio-style music player that plays songs while you scroll other posts. It has 3 song modes you can switch between:
- sosmedplus Radio & Music — listen to favorite music from the shared collection.
- Private Playlist — your own song collection.
- Offline Warehouse — songs saved on your phone.
Steps
- Tap the GANTI MODE (Switch mode) button to move between the three modes above.
- Use the row of buttons on the player to choose a song source: HP (songs from your phone storage), Radio FM (streaming FM radio), Net (search free songs on the internet), AI (the sosmedplus AI-made song collection), and Playlist (playlists you made yourself).
- In Radio FM, find a station or podcast with the search box; local stations come from your location (allow location access), or pick the "Top Indo" tab.
- Tap the title/player area to minimize it into a small bar, and tap again to enlarge it.
Saving a song to your phone: the download icon on a song in the player saves it to the Offline Warehouse and also copies it to the app’s folder inside Music on your phone, so other music apps can play it too. On Windows the song goes to the Downloads folder, and on web it downloads through the browser. If the song is already there you are told, and it is not copied twice.
Stories
Right below the music player is the Story bar — photos, short videos or text statuses that appear temporarily in your friends' avatar circles, similar to stories in other social apps.
To create a Story
- Tap the Add Story circle at the left end of the bar.
- Choose a content type: Write a Status (Text), Pick from Gallery (photo/video), Photo from Camera, or Video from Camera (up to 30 seconds).
- (Optional) Tap Add Music to add background music, then set the story's duration (e.g. ½ song); for text stories you can also set the text position and alignment.
- Tap the send button to publish the Story.
To view someone else's Story
- Tap your friend's avatar circle to open their Story.
- If it is your own Story, you can see the list of viewers, save it to a profile Highlight (star icon), or delete it.
- For other people's Stories, you can reply through the message box at the bottom of the screen — the reply goes to that person's chat. You need to follow the account first to reply.
Highlights: on your profile you can create a new Highlight. Open your Story → tap the star → pick the target Highlight, and that Story is saved there.
Interacting with Posts
Every post card in the feed has a few standard actions in its bottom row.
- Like — tap the heart icon to like; tap the number to see who liked.
- Comment — tap the chat-bubble icon to open the comment box; tap the number to see who commented. Comments can include GIFs, stickers, attachments or a location via the attach button in the comment box, and replies are nested like a thread.
- Repost — spreads that post again to your own feed (you are asked to confirm first).
- Send — shares the post outside the app (WhatsApp, etc.) through the device's built-in share menu, with a direct link to the post.
- Save (bookmark) — tap the bookmark icon to save the post to your saved collection.
Extra steps
- Tap the post's text/image area to open the detail (thread) page with all its comments.
- Tap the author's name or photo to open their public profile.
- Tap the three-dot icon at the top right of the card to open the menu: Edit and Delete (your own posts only), or Report (other people's posts).
- Videos in the feed play one at a time: the video you are looking at plays and the others pause automatically. Tap a video to open it full screen and swipe to move to the next one.
Content Categories
Below the profile bar is a swipeable row of category tabs: Posts, Holy Book, AI, Market, Travel, Education, Career, Technology, Motivation, Economy, National, Nusantara, Java, World, Sports, Health. The Posts tab is the main Home tab with the social feed above; the other tabs hold portal/news content for their themes (covered fully in their own chapters).
Tip: the category bar and top bar hide automatically when you scroll down to give more room, and come back when you scroll up.
Switching Sources, Back & Reload in Category Tabs
Almost every category tab has the same way to switch sources and navigate the web pages inside it.
- Source chips: the row of chips at the top of the page. Swipe and tap a chip to switch platform/outlet. Each time you pick a chip, that source's page is loaded fresh from the start.
- The "See all sources" grid button (the squares icon, at the end of the chip row): opens the list of all sources as a grid, then tap one to jump straight to it.
- Back & Reload buttons: as soon as you open a follow-up page inside a site, two round buttons appear at the top left of the page. Back = go back one page, Reload = reload the page being shown. On web, "back" takes you to that source's starting page.
- The phone's back button: goes back one page in the site being viewed first; once at the start page, it returns to the Posts tab.
- Full screen: the square icon at the top right hides the top bars so the page has more room. The phone's back button exits full screen.
Chapter 5Chat & Calls
Conversation List & Groups
The Chat tab on the navbar shows all your conversations, grouped as Unread, Group Chats and All Conversations. Unread messages are marked with a red number badge on the navbar. The search box at the top looks for people, topics or files inside your messages.
To start a chat
- Open the Chat tab on the navbar.
- Tap a person's name (or find them with the search box) to open a private chat. If you do not follow each other, a warning appears.
- Type a message in the bottom field, then send.
To create a group
- In the Chat tab, tap "Buat Grup" (Create group).
- Name the group (the name has a length limit), then choose members. Only friends who follow you back (mutual follows) can be added to a group.
- Tap the create button. The group admin can add members later from the group info.
The menu at the top of the list also has "Tandai Semua Dibaca" (Mark all as read) to clear all unread badges at once.
Sending & Managing Messages
In private and group chats you can send more than plain text.
What you can send with the attach button:
- Photos (from Gallery or Camera)
- Videos (from Gallery or recorded live; private chat up to 30 MB, about 1–2 minutes)
- Document files
- Location (the map can be opened in Google Maps)
- Voice notes (hold the microphone button to record)
- GIFs and Stickers through the expression panel
Press and hold a message to open the action menu: react with an emoji, Reply, Copy, Forward, Edit Message (edited messages are marked), Add to Favorites, Pin Message (up to 8 pinned messages per conversation), or Delete. Delete has two choices: delete for me only, or Retract Message, which removes it permanently from everyone. A single text message can be up to 6888 characters.
Your favorite messages are collected in the "Pesan Berbintang" (Starred Messages) menu on the Chat list. The three-dot menu above the chat also has Search Messages and Media & Files (all photos, videos and files in that conversation).
Chat Settings: Wallpaper, Disappearing Messages & Block
From the three-dot menu above a chat you can set up that conversation.
- Change Chat Background: pick a wallpaper from the built-in and online collections, or return to the default. The default changes randomly every day.
- Disappearing Messages: new messages sent afterwards are deleted automatically after the duration you choose; older messages are not affected. In groups this can only be changed by an admin.
- Mute/Unmute notifications: for that group only.
- Block: blocks a user (private chat). The blocked list is managed in Drawer → Blocked.
In a group, the group info shows the members, the add-members button, leaving the group, and (admins only) deleting the group. Every setting here only applies to the conversation you have open.
Voice & Video Calls
Available on Android
You can call other users directly from the phone app, with no airtime needed.
Steps
- Open the Chat tab, then tick one or more people in the list (the title at the top changes to "N selected"). Two round buttons appear at the bottom right: phone (voice) and camera (video). Tap one to call. Groups also have a video-call button inside their chat.
- Wait until it is answered. An incoming call shows up with the phone's system calling screen, even when the app is closed.
- All calls are logged in Call History; the unseen badge disappears when you open it.
Note: calls are only available in the phone app. Web and Windows do not have calls yet, and Call History is not shown there.
Chapter 23Drawer Menu
Scan QR Login
Available on Android
This menu sits below "Manual Book" and only appears in the phone app. It lets you authorize a sosmedplus login on web or Windows without typing your password there.
Steps
- On the web or the Windows app, open the sosmedplus sign-in screen until the QR code appears.
- On your phone, open the Drawer and tap "Scan QR Login".
- Point the camera at that QR code (allow camera access if asked).
- Check the "Izinkan login di perangkat ini?" (Allow login on this device?) confirmation card — the device, request time, and IP address.
- Tap Izinkan (Allow) if that QR is really showing on your own device's screen, or Tolak (Reject) if not. Within a few seconds that web/Windows device signs in to your account.
Security: never scan a QR sent by someone else. The QR expires quickly and can only be used once; if it is rejected, reload the QR on the web/Windows screen and scan again. Your password and login session are never moved between devices.
Language
Sets the app's display language without changing your phone's language. There are 3 options: Follow System (auto-matches your phone's language), Indonesian, or English. Changes apply instantly once selected, no app restart needed.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Language".
- Pick an option (Follow System / Indonesian / English) in the dialog that appears.
- The app's display instantly changes accordingly.
AI Music Studio
Creates songs with AI from a description/music prompt. Split into 3 tabs: Buat Baru (Create New — generate a new song, 3 free songs per day, after which you can buy a package of 5 songs/Rp9k or 50 songs/Rp45k through Google Play), Koleksi Saya (My Collection — the AI songs you have made; you can play, rename and download them), and Mint NFT (turn your songs into NFTs by choosing an edition count and a CYV sale price).
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Studio Musik AI" (AI Music Studio).
- In the Buat Baru tab, enter a title (optional) and a music prompt (write it in English), then pick a mode: Mode Kilat (instrumental) or Mode Vokal (full, with vocals).
- Tap BUAT LAGU SEKARANG (Create song now) and wait for the song to render (it is saved automatically). If creation fails, any VIP quota used is returned in full.
- In Koleksi Saya, tap the download icon to save the song to your phone (the app’s folder inside Music).
- Switch to the Mint NFT tab, pick a song then "Jadikan NFT": set the edition count (up to 10,000 per mint) and the price per edition (optional — leave empty if you do not want it listed on the NFT Market right away).
NFT Studio
Available on Android
Mints NFTs straight from files already on your phone, so they are truly "your own work". It has 3 tabs: AI Gambar (AI Image — pick an image from the Gallery, e.g. an AI result you saved), AI Musik (AI Music — pick an mp3/wav/m4a audio file from phone storage), and Kamera (Camera — take a new photo with a caption). Every mint path uses the same dialog to choose the number of editions (maximum 100) and the sale price in CYV (optional, may be left empty). NFTs are minted on the Hedera Token Service and each edition has a unique serial number. This feature is only in the phone app, not on web yet.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "NFT Studio".
- Pick the tab matching your file type (AI Image/AI Music/Camera).
- Pick/take the file, fill in a title or caption.
- Tap "Jadikan NFT" (Make NFT), set the edition count and price, then confirm the mint.
- Minted NFTs show up in Market → NFT Market → My NFTs.
Tali Kasih (Charity)
A donation portal that links out to a third-party site outside the app (donasidanamustadhafin.com) — sosmedplus is only a bridge/link, not the party collecting or managing donation funds. Since the system can't verify a real donation was made, there's no CYV reward for this activity.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Tali Kasih".
- The app opens the official third-party donation site in the in-app browser.
- The rest of the donation process is handled entirely by that site.
Education & Technology
A submenu with a curated collection of educational YouTube channels, grouped by topic: Coding (Programmer Zaman Now, Dicoding, etc.), Blockchain (Akademi Crypto, Whiteboard Crypto, etc.), Science (Kok Bisa?, Ferry Irwandi, etc.), and World Campuses (MIT OpenCourseWare, TED-Ed, Veritasium, etc.). Videos open in an in-app YouTube mini-player, not by switching to the YouTube app.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Education & Technology" to open the submenu.
- Pick the channel you want from the list by category.
- The video automatically plays in a floating mini-player window.
YouTube Cinema
Opens a floating YouTube mini-player ("Bioskop sosmedplus") right on the Home screen, without leaving the app, for watching videos in general. You can search and play videos like on regular YouTube. On the web version, Bioskop has its own page: a video search box, paste-a-video-link, a "Terakhir ditonton" (Recently watched) list, "Kanal pilihan" (Picked channels), and "Untuk kamu" (For you) recommendations with autoplay.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Bioskop YouTube".
- The YouTube mini-player window appears over the Home screen.
- Press the phone's back button to close it.
sosmedplus Live TV
A submenu with a list of live TV streaming channels, grouped by category: World Cup 2026 — Official TVRI (TVRI Sport HD, TVRI Nasional HD), Live Sports (Indonesia national team, PSSI TV, AFC, Olympics, FIBA, Volleyball World, etc.), National News & Info (tvOne, Kompas TV, Metro TV, iNews, etc.), Entertainment & General (ANTV, Trans TV, Trans7, SCTV), World News (Al Jazeera, DW News, CNA, ABC News, CGTN, France 24), and Earth & Space Innovation (NASA ISS Live, SpaceX Live, Lofi Girl). Like Education & Technology, everything plays through the YouTube mini-player inside the app.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "sosmedplus Live TV" to open the submenu.
- Pick the live channel you want to watch.
- The live broadcast plays in the floating mini-player.
Find Friend's Phone
A feature to help find a lost phone through the location of accounts you follow — search is limited to people you already follow, for privacy. When opened, a warning (snackbar) appears saying the sosmedplus tracking satellite is being prepared, reminding you that this is a real location-tracking feature. You can search an account, see the location signal status ("Satelit Terkunci"/"Sinyal Hilang" — Satellite locked / Signal lost), open the location in Google Maps, send a "Sirine" (a request for the target phone to sound an alarm so it is easy to find physically), and cancel a siren you already sent. It can also be opened from the Radar Privat icon on the Friends page.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Find Friend's Phone" (Lacak HP Teman).
- Type the username of a followed account, press Enter/the search icon.
- Tap the map icon to see the location in Google Maps, or the phone icon to send a Siren.
Saved (Bookmarks)
A list of every post you've ever saved (bookmarked), complete with images/videos/audio displayed just like in the feed. Each card can be opened to view the post's detail, or removed from your saved list via the remove-bookmark icon.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Saved".
- Tap a post to open its detail, or tap the remove-bookmark icon to remove it from the list.
Trending Now
Shows the hashtags most talked about in the last 48 hours from public posts, ranked by post count and interactions (likes + comments). The top 3 hashtags are marked with a flame icon.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Trending Now" (Tren Sekarang).
- Tap a hashtag to search it, or tap the refresh icon to reload the list.
Muted Words
Register words/phrases you want hidden from your feed — posts containing them are no longer shown to you. Useful to avoid topics or spoilers you do not want to see.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Muted Words" (Kata yang Dibisukan).
- Type the word you want to mute, press the "Bisukan" (Mute) button or Enter.
- Tap the delete icon beside a word to unmute it.
Lists

Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Lists".
- Tap "+ Create List", fill in a name, description, and set public/private.
- Tap one of your created lists to add/view its members.
Community
A space to join or create themed communities (General, Technology, Art, Sports, Business, Education, Entertainment, Social). There are 2 tabs: "Joined" (communities you already follow) and "Discover" (other public communities you can join).
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Community".
- In the Discover tab, tap "Join" on a community you're interested in — or tap "+ Create Community" to make your own (fill in name, description, category, and public/private).
- Tap a community card to open its detail page.
Quiet Hours
Set a specific time range (e.g. sleep hours) so notifications don't disturb you. There's a status indicator showing whether it's "active now" or not, an on/off toggle, and start/end time settings.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Quiet Hours".
- Turn on the "Enable Quiet Hours" switch.
- Tap "Start Time" and "End Time" to set the range during which notifications are turned off.
Notifications
Shows your notification history (likes, comments, follows, mentions, reposts, quotes) complete with relative timestamps ("just now", "5 minutes ago", etc.). Notifications are automatically marked as read when this screen is opened; there's also a button to mark all as read at once.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Notifications".
- Tap a post-related notification to jump straight to that post.
- Tap the double-check icon in the top-right to mark all as read.
Blocked
A list of accounts you've blocked. From here you can unblock anyone anytime via a confirmation dialog.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Blocked".
- Tap the "Unblock" button next to the account you want to unblock, then confirm.

Clear Browser Cache
Available on Android · Windows
A direct action (it does not open a new screen) to clear the YouTube mini-player cache — including the cache of YouTube viewing, news, and web pages opened through the TV/Education/Cinema features. Photos and post images are not affected at all. On the web version the browser manages the cache automatically, so there is nothing to clear.
Steps
- Open the Drawer, tap "Bersihkan Cache Browser" (Clear Browser Cache).
- Confirm in the dialog by tapping the "Bersihkan" (Clear) button.
- A confirmation notice appears once the cache has been cleared.
Nothing found for that word.
